“Fearing God and respecting man go hand-in-hand.”
Leviticus 19:14, 32
(14) Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
(32) Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
Explanation
If you cursed a deaf person, they may not know it; but, God would. If you put something in the way of a blind person, they may not know who did it; but, God would. Leviticus 19 teaches us that fearing God should drive us to treat our fellow man respectfully.
If we fear God, we should have respect toward those made in His image.
